My name is Anna Pray Hobbs, and as a wife and mama... I truly believe photography is far more than snapping a photo + clicking a button. It is documentation, a story of your love for your people... Documentation of pure, authentic, messy and genuine love. The goal is to capture those sweet snuggles, giggles, mama bumps, tiny toes and all of the wonderful things associated with parenthood.
Being out in nature and capturing the joy in your everyday life between you and yours are my favorite things! Let's document those bare-foot, wild moments in a field surrounded by the mountains or just enjoy an afternoon feeding ducks at the local park. However you choose to document your lives, these are the moments I live for.
You should know that I am a lover of earthy and warm tones. You will see that throughout my work. I believe every family has a story to tell, and I can’t wait to help you tell yours.
When I’m not behind the camera, you might find me walking down by the Tennessee River or shopping for baby clothes!
At home, I am a wife, and a mama to my daughter and two big ol' fur babies. I've become a pro at juggling diaper changes, feedings, and catching burp rags or pacifiers before they fall to the floor, haha!
As a mama myself, I've come to cherish the little family moments—like bath time, story time, and those sleepy cuddles. I had no idea just much it was possible to love another human until having a child.
I also get how bittersweet parenthood is. You love that you have the privilege to watch them grow up, but your heart also aches at how quick it happens... As a photographer, I am constantly getting photos of my family to document the moments I am lucky enough to have with them. I view it as a way to pause those moments and be able to look back at them fondly.
After getting your photos done, rather than leaving them on your phone (i've been guilty of this before), consider adding the photos to the walls in your home. Or, maybe even add them to the baby book or scrapbook that you promised you'd finish! You and your little ones will be so thankful that you did.
Weddings were just the beginning for Pray Photo Company! Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of watching many of my wedding couples grow into families. By shifting my focus to family photography, I'm excited to build long-term relationships with clients and watch your families grow and change.
Here's the thing: weddings often require a lot of structure and posed moments. Family sessions, however, allow me to capture the real moments that happen when you’re not thinking about the camera. I’ll guide you with a few prompts, like "run and play" or "hug each other tight." And plus, you don't have to look picture-perfect. In fact, the most beautiful moments are the ones that happen naturally and without stressing over every little detail. My family sessions are about joy, connection and being together.
